Providing Sanctuary
Our sanctuary is a haven where animals are free to live without fear, pain, or exploitation, and where their well-being is our highest priority.
Every resident at the sanctuary is treated with compassion and respect, ensuring they have the care they need to thrive. From comfortable, clean living spaces to nutritious food and regular veterinary attention, we work to give them the best life possible.
Our sanctuary is more than just a place of refuge — it’s a home where animals can express natural behaviors, form social bonds, and live their lives. Our residents are able to live without fear, stress or suffering.
We are a space where animals are not seen as commodities, but as sentient beings deserving of love and care.
Our sanctyuary sits on almost one hectare of land, offering animals a safe, comfortable and enriched life.
History
Every aspect of our sanctuary is designed to ensure the animals feel safe, comfortable, and respected. Visits are carefully managed to minimize stress and allow our animals to thrive in a peaceful environment.
Guided tours are structured to foster understanding and empathy while respecting the natural behaviors and boundaries of our residents. Some animals may choose to interact, while others may prefer their own space. There are no forced interactions here.
By putting our animals’ needs first, we aim to create an environment where both visitors and animals can benefit from positive, compassionate interactions.
When you visit Bali Farm Sanctuary, you’re not just enjoying an experience — you’re contributing to a kinder world for all beings.
Satellite Sanctuaries
Of course not all animals thrive in an open-to-the-public space.
Some animals may be naturally shy, require special care, or simply prefer a quieter environment. After all, much like humans, they have their own friends, likes, dislikes and needs.
The animals we serve are always our first priority and it is important that each animal is given the care they need and deserve.
This is why we will establish satellite mini-sanctuaries — private, smaller-scale refuges dedicated to protecting animals who require a more secluded and tranquil space. These sanctuaries will be carefully managed by trained staff.
Rescue Limitations
As much as we would love to rescue every farm animal, we know that there are limits to how many lives we can directly save. That’s why education is at the heart of everything we do — because the more people we reach, the bigger the impact we can make for animals everywhere.
Every visit to the sanctuary is an opportunity to connect with our residents, hear their stories, and see firsthand how animals are so much more than we’ve been taught to believe. By learning about their personalities and the care they need to thrive, visitors often leave inspired to make kinder choices in their own lives.
But we don’t stop there. Our outreach programs take the message further, working with local communities, farmers, veterinarians, and schools to share practical ways to improve animal welfare. By promoting compassion and teaching about the globally recognized Five Freedoms, we aim to help others create better lives for animals in their care.
While rescue provides a safe haven for a few, education has the power to change how animals are treated across the world. Together, we can create a kinder, more compassionate future — one where animals are respected and valued for the amazing individuals they are.
